Student Accounts

Committed to Excellence

Sanctions

The following sanctions may be taken toward a student whose account is delinquent:

  1. There is a $20 late payment fee each month an account is delinquent.

  2. HOLDS are placed on the academic records of students who are delinquent. Holds will prohibit the release of transcripts and diplomas and prohibit future enrollment (including adds and section changes) until the accounts are brought current. For an immediate release of a HOLD, payment must be made by cash, cashier's check, money order, or credit card. Due to the large number of bad checks presented, the University delays the release of HOLDS on accounts paid by personal checks for a period of three weeks.

  3. For students in University Housing, the eviction process will begin,

  4. If parking violations are on the account, vehicle towing will be authorized,

  5. University Program and Facilities Fees services will be stopped:
    a) Recreation Center access,
    b) Student Union activities,
    c) University Program Council events, d) student discounts at the University Theatre and Lied Center
  6. NCard and telecommunications services will be stopped.
